HIGH-PERFORMANCE OFFSHORE POWER WITH TWIN ENGINES AND SERIOUS SPEED!
2004 Fountain Fever 32 -- Race-Bred Speed, Weekend Comfort
Fountain does not build ordinary boats. Founded by offshore racing legend Reggie Fountain, the brand earned its name on the race course, then brought that same hull science, hand-laid construction, and sharp fit-and-finish to the street. The 2004 Fever 32 is the result: a purpose-built performance cuddy that looks fast at the dock and runs like it on the water.
The hull. A narrow, modified deep-V with a wide running pad is classic Fountain. It planes quickly, tracks cleanly at speed, and stays composed when the water turns choppy.
Twin MerCruiser sterndrives with Bravo outdrives -- the setup this model was built around -- deliver the throttle response and top-end punch these boats are known for. A swim platform and boarding ladder make the water easy to get in and out of once you arrive.
The cockpit is arranged for running hard and relaxing after. Twin bolstered bucket seats sit at the helm, with electric drop-downs so you can sit or stand as the sea changes. A full-width aft bench and a broad sun pad turn the stern into lounge space for the crew. Beverage holders, coaming pads, and a self-draining cockpit keep the day practical.
Below, the cuddy is surprisingly usable for a 32-foot performance boat: a forward V-berth that sleeps two, lounge seating, a sink and counter, and storage for overnight gear or a porta-potti. It is not a cabin cruiser -- and it does not pretend to be -- but it is enough for a night at anchor or a long run up the coast.
Why it stands out. About 32 feet overall on an 8-foot-4-inch to 8-foot-6-inch beam, with fuel capacity of 120 gallons, the Fever is sized to trailer and still feel serious offshore. Stainless props, hydraulic steering, and Fountain's race-derived graphics and gelcoat finish complete a boat built to be seen and driven.
If you want the look, the pedigree, and the ride of a true performance classic without stepping into a full race boat, the 2004 Fountain Fever 32 is the one.
